You can be part of a pioneering effort to bring education to children with physical and mental disabilities in a region
where special education is unheard of. In Uganda, disabled children are seen as a burden and misfortune. The Kisakye
Isaac Memorial School was founded in 2006 by FDNC to help families and communities understand, accept and value their
children with special needs while providing the children with a basic education and the skills they need for
self-reliance.
The school is already educating more than 25 students but needs help to provide furniture, salaries for the trained
teachers, student transportation, lunch for the students, and basic teaching materials. Your contribution to the Special Needs Program will go directly to the school for these items.
