Dr. Berman served as a Volunteer Physician at FDNC in Uganda for six weeks in 2006. A graduate of Tufts University School
of Medicine, Dr. Berman has over 30 years experience in the medical field. He is currently Medical Director in the Office
of Health Care Quality of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. He serves on the Boards of Directors of
Rh Laboratories and BRT Laboratories and is a member of the Advisory Committee of the University of Maryland Palliative
Medicine Department.

Jayne is a Learning Professional with 26 years of experience in managing change,
developing high performance teams, aligning corporate culture/values with business practices and facilitating sessions from the boardroom to the classroom.
Jayne currently works for the Credit Union National Association - Center for Professional Development. Jayne lives with her husband, Mark, in Elk Grove, CA
where he is an attorney for the state of California. Both Mark and Jayne share a passion for working with two groups of people - the "down and out" that see
no hope in their future and the exciting "20 something's" who are looking for purpose and direction.

In April of 2005 Robert had the opportunity to visit FDNC through an AJWS sponsored service trip and was amazed by the
people he met and what he learned. While they were there, they joined with several of the classes to build some of the
new classrooms for future students of FDNC. As a Lending Specialist in the Credit Union industry Robert has been able to
help share resources on micro-credit and other lending strategies with staff at FDNC as well as other NGOs in East Africa. |

As Development Associate at Jewish Child Care Association in New York, Clara brings her professional fundraising skills to
HUGS. She has worked with disadvantaged youth in Russia and Ukraine. Clara's interest in Uganda was sparked during her sister
Sally's time volunteering in Mbale and her own visit to Uganda. |

Sally volunteered with FDNC in Uganda for eight months during 2005-2006. While there she trained agriculture students and local communities in sustainable
agriculture methods by developing a demonstration garden and working with communities to start community vegetable garden projects. She currently lives in
New York City and works with Ashoka's Youth Venture, an international nonprofit that supports youth social entrepreneurship. She is responsible for implementing
Youth Venture's program in Teen Second Life and other online virtual communities for youth. |

Roman spent the majority of 2005 working with FDNC in several capacities. He helped establish vocational school policies
and procedures, worked with the chief executive and board on leadership development, developed communications and marketing
materials, and supported a range of organizational development efforts. Now, back in California, Roman continues his 20 year
career as an educator and high school reform specialist. His Ugandan wife, Annette, who he met while volunteering in 2005,
takes inspiration from the natural beauty of California to pursue her career as one of Uganda's premier artists
(www.natocho.com). |
